Standing on a thin line - Indian IT Industry

Offlate by default people want their children to be associated with IT or anything to do with IT, even kids who have just passed 12th they want to be in IT.
Now what makes this field so catchy that people without thinking jump in? well isn’t it obvious “Fast Money” some years back to touch 20k mark people used to spend a long time but thanks to IT many graduates started the career with 20+ sal and yes its kind of irresistible…

But what was the reason for this? When the demand is higher it takes care of itself automatically and yes it’s a rosy situation for many. But when the demand goes down what then?

With Obama’s latest speech on “anti-outsourcing” the entire IT field has shook a bit and why not United States is our biggest consumers of the IT related products and if they stop buying our services the demand will CRASH and what will be the effect on the economy? I dare not think, with many liked to this industry both directly and indirectly the adverse effect will be too much to bear.

While IT sector boomed, many other sectors are ignore for instance “Agriculture”, even the government started to invest big time into IT trying to entice the investors and all but I wonder the government ever thought what if this field goes down? Well I know none has such high expectation from our leaders;)

Even if we consider that IT industry survives and thrives what about the ignored or less important sector? With acres of fertile land been used for industry purpose and many farmers giving up farming are we not heading towards a scenario where consumption shoot up while the production is crashing?

The issue seem to be a serious one and I guess its difficult to point at 1 direction but can say that we are certainly heading towards a wall! God save us!

We need shade but not the tree?

I  guess there are millions of examples on how we humans come up we the reason to cut a tree but on a hot sunny day all look for a tree to stand below or park their vehicles, arent we pathetic?

Already most of the cities and even the villages are losing green cover, what i really feel for is the birds an other leaving beings....

Though we all know the ill effect of not having the green cover but we still try to exploit it!

Coming back to finding reasons to cut trees, just leanrt from my building watchman that someone from the next building wants to gt a tree cut, reason the branches are closing in to the balcony....stupids think tht they own the world!

I just request the readers to save trees and grow trees!

Shogun times....

Guess anyone reading the title may wonder that it might have something to do with a "Chinese restaurant" but its not that:)

Actually its about my second bike "Suzuki Shogun", well this was a bike which i was dying for all my college days and i finally got my hands on it during my first job when i could pay the "emi";)

Anyhow this bike did add a charm to my life, got introduced to "SPEED" but most importantly i developed the taste to travel, yup on bike.

Guess my first long ride was to "Yelahanka", The outer ring road was just done and traffic was equal to nil then! dont ask me about the present situation though:)

My Close buddy "Sam" used to stay in Yelahanka and i happened to get my bike serviced in yelahanka. so i had 2 good reasons to ride there every weekend.

Those times(2001) it was just a 2 laned hiway from Hebal to "Yel..." and we had no clue about "Devanhalli". the road used to pass by the Yelhanka town and truck traffic used to be  scary!

Yelahanka and surrounding areas then were not exploited and loads of green could be found and short rides used bit interior used to make us feel that we were somewhere else..

Coming back to topic, with Shogun i used to look for reasons to go for a ride and simple reasons like getting the bike tuned i used to rush to Yela... yes Akash the mech thought i was surely crazy...those were the times i used to ride to nandi Hills just to check the tunning part:)

Yes i did many plans to take the bike on a long ride which never happened:)

Me and Sam did lots of short rides around Yelahanka and explored the interiors but sadly some nice and green areas have got barren...all thanks to the development!

Sam used to be a ardent fan of Yamaha RX135, but Shogun did convert this fan to be a Shogun fan later. yes he picked up a Shogun and which apparently  was his last bike. now he is on a motorless bike(Cycle) hehehe

Still i miss that roar of the bike and i guess will always remember that bike...those were the Shogun times...
